Cormac’s Confirmation

Cormac arrived with his mum Siobhan dad Micky & his 2 sisters Jemma & Melissa :) Everyone looked fabulous all dressed up in there the beautiful fashion. I started off the shoot in what i call my dark studio, where i use darker back drops & just one or sometimes two studio lights, I have a very nice swing chair in this studio on which i placed Cormac & his sisters standing either side of him, giving me a few different poses & then i would turn on the bubble machine & then the fun starts & i get some fantastic expressions, Laughing, giggling & generally having some fun as i make some lovely images :) I would then ask the family to come into the white studio where everything is white & lots of high key lighting & we have lots of craic in this studio, lots of messing around & making some great pictures :) & finally we would finish up in my gardens & i would set up a few nice family portrait poses & that really is nice, its great to get out of the studio sometimes & using natural lighting :)

Thanks to Cormac & his family for being such great models, it was a fun shot with lots of craic :)

Shane Aine & Family, photo shoot.

This was a wonderful photo shoot :) I had made a previous trip out to Aine & Shane’s house, out near Silverbridge in south Armagh & the scenery is absoloutly beautiful around here, sun sets to die for & a fabulous lake walk around Cashel Lough.

When I made my first trip here, I knew the shoot had to be an evening, with the sun setting low just behind the lake :)  I arranged to come back in a few weeks time, it was a Saturday evening & we where not sure weather or not we would get a nice sun set but we decided to go ahead & go down to the lake & take a walk around with Shane Aine & the children, Tomas, Conor, Moya & there dog Alvin. I went ahead of the family & hid in the bushes & got a couple of nice natural photographs of the family walking along the nice narrow path & I would also lie down on the path & get some nice up shots with everyone walking along in the evening light. There are lots of fishing points around Cashel Lough, like little peers going out onto the water, they make for nice lead in lines to the subjects :)

The kids where great craic indeed, little Moya loved to pose for me & as did Tomas & Conor & not forgetting Alvin the Golden Labrador :) We set up a couple of images of the family looking out toward Cashel Lough & then I would photograph the children seperatly doing something simular & Alvin the Golden Lab would also be involved jumping in & out of the water made for some striking photos :)

Thanks guys, for asking me to be your photographer for your family photo shoot i really enjoyed myself that day we all had good fun :)

Charlene & Raymond Wedding Day

Hi Friends

This was the wedding of Charlene & Raymond :)

It was not the most beautiful day with rain spilling out of the cloudy sky’s, but that all changed when i entered Charlene’s house on the morning of her wedding day. As i entered the house everyone was in great form, the sun was shining in here for sure i thought & all getting there hair & makeup done :) There was excitement in the air & a lot of hustle & bustle with everyone being busy getting ready for the big day ahead. The Champagne was flowing & so was the tea for those that wanted to take it easy in the morning :) I done my usual thing skulking around trying not to be noticed & getting the images i wanted, the girls getting hair & makeup done, the detail shots, like the flowers, the dresses hanging up, the Champagne, the jewellery ect. Charlene was so happy, no sign of nerves here & she was looking so beautiful, i knew not even the rain was going to spoil this day :)

I arrived at the Sacred Heart Church in Cloughogue in good time to meet the men arriving :) Raymond was in plenty of time & was looking very happy to be here, i asked had he any nerves & his quick reply was not yet :) When the men arrive in good time, it gives me some good opportunity to get some nice shots of them waiting on the the Bride to be, i try a few posed shots & make everyone feel nice & relaxed, this gives a good start to the day :) Sacred Heart Church Cloughogue is a great place for a wedding because the is light great  coming through the beautiful stained glass windows, even on a cloudy rainy day. Charlene arrived bang on time, Raymond & his best men where in there places waiting nervously i am sure? :) Charlene looked so beautiful in her beautifully designed wedding dress, with one strap over one shoulder & some diamantes in a lovely design down the side of the wedding dress. Charlene’s dad William took her down the isle to give her away to Raymond. The smile on Charlene’s face lit up the whole church, like as if the sun was splitting the trees outside :) The ceromoney began & everything went really well indeed, the candles where lit, the rings where exchanged & the register was signed. Charlene & Raymond came back out of the Sacristy after signing the legals, to a big round of applause & big smiles everywhere :) We made a few photos with family members at the alter & then Charlene & Raymond walked down the isle as a married couple to take there congratulations from all there friends & relatives :)

After taking all there congratulations from everyone we all headed off to Carlingford. First stop was the Abbey in Carlingford, the rain was still tumbling down but that did not dampen the spirits of anyone we enjoyed it, everyone was of the opinion, lets just use the rain to effect & we did just that. I always carry umbrellas so that would protect us a little from the rain. We made some fantastic images in the Abbey & the rain actualy made for a nice change from the normal wedding photos :)

We then went over to Ghan House, an award winng, house hotel, resturant, located in the heart of the beautiful medievil vllage of Carlingford in county Louth. I have been in the Ghan house before & i knew i was in for a treat making the images of Charlene & Raymond. There are some great big windows in Ghan House & that makes for great light to shine through & thus great images :)

Thank you Charlene & Raymond, for being a wonderful couple & asking me to be your photographer, on the most special day of your lives to date :)

Emma & Pete Wedding day

Hi Friends

This was the wedding of Emma & Pete. The day started at Emma’s house & just as i arrived a could see a very large rainbow in the sky,  just in front of Slieve Gullion & i thought to myself that it might get kind of mucky & we would not get many outdoor shots. I went into Emma’s house & all the girls where getting ready for the big day ahead, there was a makeup artist in the bathroom & a hairdresser in the kitchen, the house was in great form altogether :) So i was doing my normal thing sneaking around snapping photos of everyone getting ready & you all know yous girls. Don’t take pictures of me before my hair is done or my makeup is done :) but just a usual i did not listen to them at all lol! :) & i got some wonderful candid images :) As the morning was moving swiftly along, the sky started to clear :) & i was thinking that we might get a dry day after all :) It was time to get the bride dressed & all the girls where in the room putting on all the beautiful dresses & the Bridal Gown was just amazing, as was the bride :) I get a couple of quick photos of Emma in her dress & i have to head off to the church to meet the men :) As i arrive at Glassdrummond Church, the sun was now out in full & the day was turning beautiful :) Pete & the best men where all outside mingling around chatting with some of the guests that had arrived early & that was ample opportunity for me to get a few good shots of everyone nice & relaxed :) This day is gonna be great i thought to myself, i have a nice clear blue sky,  a beautiful church & great people :) After i got some great images of the men it was time for them to go inside the church, as i get a call to let us know that Emma, the bride, is on her way :) Emma & her bridesmaids arrive in good time in 2 very nice cars, a lovely big Merc & a very sexy white BMW in which the bride arrived :)  It was time for Emma to go down the isle & she looked a picture indeed :) All went well with the wedding ceremony, I got some wonderful photographs & the light in this fantastic church was just as beautiful as the new bride :) When the ceremony ended, we headed off to a little known place called Creggan Lawns, & i must tell you all that this is the most wonderful little place that i have ever had the pleasure of making wedding photos :) Lots of fallen golden autumn leaves & a gushing river to boot :) as you will see in some of the picture i will post :) There was also a nice little bridge over the rapid river & just to top it off the LIGHT was just something els, the sun was just about setting & with the red sun in the sky it lit up all of the golden brown leaves so beautifully :) We could have stayed there all afternoon but we do have a reception to get to, oh & i better mention the bridesmaids, they where FREEZING!!! Sorry girls lol :) So i let the bridesmaids & best men go off to the reception & myself, Bride & groom went off to a more local place to me Sleive Gullion & to Chambries gardens & we made some really nice images there also before we also went to the reception. We got to the Newry Golf Inn & Emma & Pete had a great time entertaining there guests & the night went on until the early hours of the morning :)

Thankyou so much Emma & Pete, for choosing me to be your photographer, on the most important day of your lives :)

Sara & Alan Wedding

Hi Friends

This was the wedding of Sara & Alan. It was a beautiful day in Newry at the Canal Court hotel, where they had there ceromoney :) Alan had arrived quite early with his best men Joe & Damien so this gave me ample oppertunity to get some good shots of the men awaiting the Bride & Bridesmaids arrival :) we went outside the Canal Court hotel beside Newry canal where i made some nice images of the men looking down the street & at there watches waiting for Sara to arrive :) some nice shots as he weather was realy nice :) We then went inside to Alan’s favourite place, the BAR :) some super images there too :) It was close to 2pm so i asked the men to go to the room where the ceromoney was going to take place & to await his bride to be :) Sara arrived very soon after that, in a big blue Rolls Royce :) when Sara stepped out of the Rolls Royce, helped by her father, she looked absolutly amazing!!! :) She then entered the Canal Court hotel on the red carpet with the biggest smile :)  On to the Ceromoney as Sara walked down the isle with her dad she looked so happy & Alan waiting, looked on in happyness. The ceromoney went really well, with Alan, who i have known all my life, pulling a couple of comical faces, which made for some funny photographs :) After Sara & Alan exchanged there vows we went around the hotel & made some wonderful photographs espicaly on the stairs of teh Canal Court hotel. We then went out of the hotel & made a few images around Newry town :)

It turned out an amazing day, with lots of beautiful images of both sara & Alan & the bridal party :)

Thank you both for asking me to be your photographer on the most important day of your lives :)

Please see below a small sample of some of the images made on the day :)

Kind regards Andrew
